M.Y.T.H. Make Yourself The Hero of your life. A proactive reading which shows how to create the future of our choice. Breaking the card into sections allows for very specific answers.

First decide on the Quest.

Divide your deck in to 5 Stacks

Stack 1: Remainder Cards, those not used in the 4 other stacks.

Stack 2: Major Arcana 0. Fool – 10. Wheel of Fortune

Stack 3: Negative Cards: 5 of Wands; 5 of Crystals (Swords), 6 of Crystals, 7 of Crystals, 9 of Crystals, 10 of Crystals; 4 of Cups, 5 of Cups, 6 of Cups, 7 of Cups, 8 of Cups; 5 of Worlds (Pentacles). (If you are using a deck other than the Voyager Tarot you might want to look through your deck and see which minors you feel are negative.)

Stack 4: Court Cards

Stack 5: World Cards except 5 of Worlds. (Pentacles)

Card 1: Present

Where are you now in relation to your quest. Shuffle and draw a card from Stack One (Remainder Stack).

Card 2: Gift or Power

This is your magic, your gift. The gift that you have to archive the quest that you are on. Shuffle and draw one card from Stack Two (Majors 0-10).

Card 3: Obstacle

The noble adversary, the demon, the challenge, the obstacle, that which could stop you. Shuffle and draw one from Stack Three (Negative Cards)

Card 4: Ally

The helper, that which can help you from within, or other people in your life who can assist. Shufle and drew from Stack Four (Family/Court Cards)

Card 5: Action

Earth cards – Pentacles or Disks. All about action. I Do. What action can you take? Shuffle and draw from Stack Five (Worlds-Actions)

Card 6: Outcome

Put the rest of the deck together. Shuffle and draw one card. Where does it take you where do you go?

    For years, almost more than a decade, I have used the Voyager deck and thank you, James, for your inspiration. I did the tarot lay-out you describe above right after not getting a job interview that I had hoped to get. Rather than feeling sorry about that, I now know what I must do to get where I want to get, which is to watch out for falling into despair (sorrow–the obstacle) and to let go of the initial disappointment (that which must be sacrificed). Rather than feeling sorry for myself, I will continue to change (adapt, keep on growing) in order to make myself into a more attractive job candidate. Thanks! By the way, I love your sense of humor and your approach to tarot.
