Leisa:

I just had the opportunity to listen to this Pod Cast, and I was very impressed. Impressed in a positive way with James Ricklef, who has done some wonderful work in the Tarot field. His book of affirmations provides a wonderful template for developing one's own affirmations, and is a joy to read. James works with the Tarot in many different ways, so a trip to visit his site can turn into an inspiring journey of your own. Remember, James is also known as KnightHawk, and as such does amazing readings for fictional characters, as well as actual historical characters. His readings cary the voice of a Master Story-Teller. :)

On the flip side, I made notes to myself about what to fine tune in my own work - like affirming that there are alternate words for "ummmmm", "okay" and "you know"! What many of you don't realize is that to present these Pod Casts well, Leisa has to do a Masters job of audio editing.

I hope that each of you takes the time to play with the Tarot a bit, and see what affirmations can be for you. I am going to give you an assignment - the next New or Full Moon, pick a Tarot deck that you resonate with, choose a card that has meaning for you, and write your own affirmation for the particular phase of the Moon that you are in.

Happy Story-Telling!

Blessings,
Bonnie

Kristy:

I like the whole topic of reversals - whether they are "necessary", how to read them, how they affect the Seeker, how they affect a reading, whether you always have to read with them, etc.

I don't see this as a yes/no issue. I do not feel that they always have to be used, but for someone like me, who does not read with them, when they "somehow" appear in a reading I take that seriously and leave them there, to be interpreted accordingly. I do want to note here: if a reader choses, as I did, not to read with reversals, then they must develop some other method, such as elemental dignities, to show what the "tone" or "weight" of the card is.

Roundtable discussion time here, Ms Leisa!

Blessings,
Bonnie

Thankyou for a wonderfull podcast,
this is my fave tarot site on the net.

I wanted to share with you some success I have had lately, since listening to the creator of the Voyager Tarot on your podcast i have been doing the one card a day practice evearyday for nearly a month now. Recently I had was going to a relatives wedding and I pulled the card from my deck and it was the 4 of wands- which in my books reads Celebration time, and in The Pagan Tarot that is shows as what looks like two people walking down the isle.

My biggest query is should I read all cards in the upright position (because every card is both positive and negative) or should I read the cards as reversals?
I would love to hear two people talk on that issue who had apposing view points.

Thanyk you again for a wonderful show
I really enjoyed the affirmations show because it excites me to see how Tarot can b used to create movement and change in our lives.

All the best
