Portland Astrologer Dena DeCastro was intrigued by the planets and their surrounding mythologies from an early age. One of her first memories of really reading was of a book on astrology (Derek and Julia Parker’s famous volume). Dena also participates in continuing education in the astrology field through attending conferences and lectures, and most notably is a participant in Steven Forrestâ€™s Apprenticeship Program. Dena publishes monthly articles at denadecastro.com, and also provides individual tutoring in astrology.

Quite interesting to hear the elemental associations being discussed by someone with a solid astrological background. Qabalastic, Numerological and Elemental associations are what gives the Tarot a good part of its depth and breadth. (No – I am not forgetting the archetypal qualities!)

I know that many people disagree with me, but I feel that if an element is under-represented, or completely missing, in a reading that this holds a primary clue to the “way out” for the reading.

Deo’s Shadow Pod Cast was certainly an experience! There are several sections to each Pod Cast, involving different content providers, and it all melds together in a wonderful manner. Be ready to hold an open mind, and bring your sense of humor with you!
